Most people think that mental illness is rare and happens to “someone else,” but mental illness is far more common than we think. Some signs of mental illness are more subtle than others. Generally the most significant symptoms may include:

· prolonged sadness
· irritability
· sleep problems
· excessive fears
· worries and anxieties,
· social withdrawal
· strong feelings of anger

Many times it is difficult to recognize when our ability to deal with everyday stressors of life become overwhelming. Often times we’re so overwhelmed that we feel trapped and don’t know where or who to turn to. If you aren’t sure what’s wrong but know you or a loved one needs help, we can evaluate your condition. We will assess whether you may benefit from medication management, as well as counseling or another treatment strategy.
